Melissa Amedee

My name is Melissa Amedee. I have been an LMT and  LPTA for over 20 years.
I use a variety of techniques I have learned and modified over the years, and my treatment approach is specific to each person. I don’t believe massage has to be no pain, no gain in most situations. My theory is when relaxed our bodies let go for the work and the healing to take place. I am a firm believer in exercise as a part of wellness and the healing process also. My education and experience in Physical Therapy has shown me that often pain and injury can be prevented and healed with proper exercise. I often offer home exercises and posture correction education to help with the healing process and prevent future injury.

Sarah Stevens

Sarah became interested in massage therapy while working as a chiropractic assistant in 2005. She proudly graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage therapy in 2007, and continued to practice in Pittsburgh for eight years. During that time she worked in chiropractic settings and also had her own private practice, both of which included successfully working with several of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

During her time in Pittsburgh, she primarily specialized in muscle release technique, which is an effective way of releasing the muscle through compression and stretching. Sarah loves to see her clients become pain-free, and also achieve a deep sense of relaxation. She continues to be amazed every day at the capacity of massage therapy to take people out of pain, and reset the nervous system. Her hobbies include writing, research, working out, and dancing to house music.

Jack Irwin

Jack graduated from Atlanta school of massage in 2006.  He joined the team here at RFC in early 2023 and has been a great asset.  His modalities include Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Reflexology and Craniosacral Techniques.  Jack believes that massage is one of the best things a person can do for themselves in regards to self-maintenance in life. Communicate your goals for your session and he will do his best to help get you there.

Shannon completed Reiki training in January 2014.  In the pursuit of building a career using energy healing, she attended Gwinnett College of Sandy Springs and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in March 2015.  She has training in Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT), and Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique (SMRT).  While energy healing is Shannon’s first love, the science of body work is also a passion. While in massage school, she had incredible mentors that shared wisdom based on their years of experience and research. Myofascial release and scar tissue work are examples of the extra knowledge gained from those mentors. Shannon believes there is a balance between treating the soft tissue and what benefits the nervous system.
